Last....

My last week in München is here. I had a great time, thanks to every one who made this exchange a memorable experience!

Some of the Highlights of this semester:

- The language course. Great people, great experiences!

 -Colorparty in Regensburg!
 - The national day celebration
 - Meeting Dorcas in Frankfurt
 - FC Bayer Munchen footballgames!
 -OKTOBERFEST!
 - "No, we will never ever play Barbie Girl"
 - My awesome underwater-rugby team!
 - Sightseeing with Marianne and Chris
- Christmasmarket in Munchen, Salzburg and Nürnberg

- Searching for sources in Geneve

- Beautiful SchlossNeuschwanstein

- Jason Mraz concert!

- And of course enjoying my time in Beautiful Munich, playing (glow-stick) ultimate Frisbee, hanging out with friends, drinking Bier, making International dinners, studying at "my museum", enjoying the parks or going shopping. Munich is a great city and I will miss it a lot!

Once again, thanks to the great people I met this semester. Keep in touch!

Schloss Neuschwanstein "When you wish upon a star"

The last few days the weather have been pretty nice, so on Sunday I went to Schloss Neuschwanstein. Apparently this is supposed to be the inspiration for the Disney castle, and I can understand why. Both the city close to the castle and the castle itself was really beautiful!
I also went inside the castle. It cost 12 Euro's, they guide I had sucked and you had to wait to get inside. Not worth it, but other then that, A great day in "Disney Land"

 The nearby city

to eat, or not to eat...!

The story of Oktober-fest in pictures

1: You should buy Lederhosen or Dirndl and wear it for Oktober fest!

2: To get to the Oktober-fest you take the U5 or U6 to Theresenwise. Just follow the rest of the people (The exit at Theresenwise)

3: The next thing you have to do is pick a tent and try to get into it. There are five beer-companies to pick from, but several tents. Although I would disagree on the definition "tent", they are more like huge houses.

4: If you are either a) at Oktoberfest really early, or b) lucky, or c) have waited in a really long line you might get into a tent. Your next job then will be to get a table. Which is close to impossible. The trick is to go around asking every table if they have some extra room.

5: When you found a table you need to order "Mass Bier" or "Radler". Drink and enjoy!

6: When you had some to drink, then get up on the benches and dance together with everyone else!

language-course and BMW

On Tuesday I started my language-course here. It is an intensive course at Goethe Institut and it will last for around four weeks. I have classes now every weekday from 08.30 to 12.45, and then Hausaufgaben (homework) after. So far the language-course have been pretty easy, but hopefully I will get to change into a higher level. The one thing I really like about Goethe Institu is that they also arrange social gathering and things like that. So yesterday they had a Goethe treff. So we meet up and go to a bier-garden and drink beer. It was a bit crowded yesterday, but still nice.

Today was even more interesting since Goether Institut arranged a trip to BMW-factory. It cost 6 euros, but they took you on a two hour long guided trip through the production. It was really interesting and the factory is super advanced and HUGE. The guided tour was in German though and sadly it wasnt allowed to take pictures inside there. But now I would like to buy a BMW ^^

I have also spent a few days at my new study-hall at the Deutsches Museum. For this week I have a room all by myself and it is really great.

tirsdag 28. august 2012

Cause I'm lazy I just changed the name of the blog from Korea instead of starting a new one ^^

So I have spent my first few days in Munchen. My apartment is pretty nice, but my room is tiny. It is also a bit away from the city center, but if I buy a bike it shouldnt be hard getting there!
I havent done too much the last few days, just enjoying a short vacation. But tomorrow it is back to real life, with the first day of the language course!

My apartment is just a short bus ride away from Ostbahnhof, and the last few days they have had a marked there with beer, cheese, meat and some random other stuff. I like it! I have also been drinking some interesting beer, my favorite so far being the one with grapefruit-juice!

Other things I have noticed after a few days here is that the light-switch is the wrong way, so whenever I leave a room I usually turn on the light! and also the doors goes the wrong way. and they  have a strange subwaysystem - you can only buy a month-card for transportation starting on the first day of the month, and a week-card starting on a monday!

and then some pictures!

MYE!
